For the private equity investor, Tim Draper, founder of the Draper, Fisher and Jurvetson company, the Bitcoin is the “most secure place to put your money”, because this is a more secure, decentralized, useful and global currency that can’t be hacked and is immune to the ups and downs of any country’s politics.
Draper feels that cryptocurrencies represent a much more exact monetary system than the present one; although his optimism isn’t shared by others that continue to prefer the currencies backed by a central bank and traditional banking structures.
Facing the criticism, Draper responds that those who aren’t betting on cryptocurrencies at present will pay a very high price in the near future. Today, the investor said, banks are constantly attacked, hackers continue finding holes for entering banks and stealing money; however, Draper clarifies, no one could hack the Bitcoin blockchain, for which reason this is the most secure place to put your money.
Regarding future uses of cryptocurrencies, Draper said that he was anxious to be involved a world whose currency won’t be linked to political influence or by any government decision to inflate a currency or to take large amounts of money. “This is a great opportunity for people to have a business that is never affected by political ups and downs,” he ended.
